Weekend camping at the beautiful and peaceful @crowdecotecampsite (adult-only, dog-friendly.)
Lazy mornings, campfires, a walk in nearby Buxton (it was a muggy one) and drinks at the Pack Horse Inn, which is just down the road.

Ooh, it was quite a walk today. The pictures make it look like a gentle amble alongside a waterfall. It was not. We had to turn back halfway down for fear of making a big mistake. Too many rocks to potentially slip on. It was bad enough I almost headed downstream after trying to make it across the water.
Had to kick off the pics with this one though, unflattering pose n’ all, as it sums up the joy of walking with a good mate. There was a lot of laughter, along with the mild panic 🥰

Spoke to @doc_martin_gp about his brilliant new book, Your Worry Makes Sense, for @fabulousmag.
Instead of berating yourself for being “silly” when anxious feelings take hold (something he hears time and again from patients,) he encourages you to go easy on yourself by reminding you that your response is completely logical.

🧠 “If you can understand anxiety, then you can be empowered, and if you are empowered, you can take small steps and get to a point where you’re in control of your anxiety, rather than it being in control of you,” he says.

☺️You’ll find a snippet of his tips on how to combat those spiralling thoughts by zooming in (link in highlights, too) but would recommend following him - and reading his book in full.

Just heading back from two nights at @barmoffity_shepherds_hut. Such a beautiful spot and so peaceful. Off-grid, so no electricity, but there’s a lovely warm rainfall shower, log burner, fire pit and portable stove. You have the small loch all to yourselves as your only neighbours are the sheep, lambs and birds. Highly recommend 🌅

The relief to have finally ticked this off the to do list given I have been putting it off for about (*looks at watch*) five years...
It’s been a little painful, namely because of the network cutting out every few minutes, my computer creaking under lack of storage and the fact I am something of a technophobe and couldn’t remember how to do any of it.
BUT, it is done. And it feels an apt time to do it, given this year marks 20 years since I started out. A little pause was needed-a chance to reflect and think about how I want to move forward. I feel renewed 🙌🏻
